God cares for you
But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him.
Luke 10:33, 34 NIV
I love when we get to witness something on the streets that vividly brings scripture to mind. We stopped to talk to a lady and saw another woman walking down the street she turned and smiled at us so we waved her over to the van. The 1st lady was asking us to pray that she would go into treatment and get off the streets. The 2nd lady reached the van in time to hear the prayer and she got all excited. She couldn’t believe we were praying with ladies about their needs and jumped right into the middle of the prayer. It seems she had recently gotten out of treatment and had 120 days clean so she proceeded to tell the 1st lady the steps she took to turn her life around. The 2nd lady was helping to bandage the wounds of the 1st lady. Praise God! What a joyful time it was, listening to these ladies talk about turning their lives around, trusting Christ and drawing on His strength for each day.
It was such a wonderful week out on the streets. We met many new people, especially young men. I love when we get to talk about Christ and pray with new people! The look of some of their faces is just priceless. Oh friends, don’t you know that Jesus loves you and is reaching out to you, trust in Him, His goodness and mercy for each day.
God cares for you, so turn all your worries over to him. I Peter 5:7 CEV
Blessings,
Donna
