Wonder-working God!
Blessed God, Israel’s God, the one and only wonder-working God! Blessed always his blazing glory! All earth brims with his glory. Yes and Yes and Yes. Ps. 72:18 MSG
I’ve been praising the Lord and thinking about all He has been doing in the last few days that I didn’t know how to sit down and put it into words. There is so much to say but I will try to keep it short and to the point, the point being JESUS!
Linda (I have permission to use her name) is a client we have known for about 3 years now. Linda lives with her brother-in-law and his wife. We have been praying for Linda’s kids from the first time we met her. Her 2 children were kidnapped 8 years ago by their father. A little over a year ago Linda found out where the kids were and contacted her lawyer. They decided to take it slow as they did not know if the kids knew about her. As it turns out the kids, at that time, were told she was dead. Linda has been working diligently to reestablish a relationship with them once the father found out that she knew where he was. I think he was trying to avoid being arrested so he allowed the kids to call her on the phone. About 10 days ago the father was arrested for hitting the children and Linda was notified. 1st miracle! Linda, who has MS and has to use a walker, got on a bus and went to Ohio. She took all her legal papers with her, contacted Protective Services in Mi. and Oh. 2nd miracle! PS gave her back custody of the children and 2 bus tickets to bring them home. Last night we met her 11 yr. old daughter and 10 yr. old son. Praise God!!!! This family has a lot of healing to do so Linda asked me to send out a prayer request for them. Pray for patience for all of them, that the children will feel the love their mother has for them, for strength for Linda to do all she will need to do to get the kids into school and counseling. Her biggest request is that she will faithfully and patiently teach the kids about their savior Jesus Christ, the kids were raised in a faith that opposes the resurrected Christ.
Our next stop was at Judy’s. Miracle 3! Judy not only has her lights back on, still no heat but has a portable heater, but the Lord didn’t stop there. About a month ago someone got a hold of her bank account number and stole her SSI money. Well on Monday the money was replenished by the bank!!! She was so happy she couldn’t stop talking. Then she turned to me and said, “Donna, someone told me that if you receive a gift you should give a gift to a church so I want to give your ministry $50.00”. I wanted so much to decline but the joy on her face was a blessing to behold.
Back on the street cruising we stopped to see another friend. This lady told us right before Christmas that she wanted to go into treatment. About a week later when we saw her she said she was doing outpatient treatment. Well, we got right in her face and told her that outpatient treatment will not work as she is still working the streets. She needs detox and inpatient care. Miracle 4! We ran into her best friend last night and found out that she checked herself into an inpatient treatment center. Wow! Yippee!!! Hallelujah! Praise God! His wonders never cease. It doesn’t matter how many years you pray for and love someone the Lord is always at work orchestrating His miracles and sometimes we are blessed with the joy of witnessing His hand at work. He is AMAZING!!!!
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
The amazing grace of the Master, Jesus Christ, the extravagant love of God, the intimate friendship of the Holy Spirit, be with all of you. 2 Cor. 13:14 MSG
Love, Donna
P.S. It’s not too late to help us bless the people on the streets with an Easter Basket. If you can help us out please contact me.
